Claire picked us up at our resort the first day for an extra fee, because we stayed outside of Playa del Carman. It was nice to not have to figure out transport ourselves. We were treated like guests. Our package included Ferry to Cozumel, dive boat, private guide, lunch, and gear. We dove the Santa Rosa Wall. Claire was a master at avoiding crowds,and showing us the best of the best. We were able to log two 1+ hour dives that day. The second day Marcelin picked us up, and took us to Dos Ojos Cenote where we again avoided the crowds, and had two fabulous dives. Marcelin is a wealth of information. The drive out was almost a lesson in cave/cavern diving. The conversation was almost as enjoyable as the diving. As we left the dive area close to 100 divers/snorklers were beginning to descend on the dive site. Marcelin timed our dives beautifully. We only saw two other groups of divers while we were under water. After our dives we went to a nice local Mexican restaurant, which was paid for by Absolute Adventure, and ate a very leisurely lunch. Again the conversation with Marcelin was a very enjoyable part.

I cannot tell you how thrilled we were with our excursion through this company. We chose to visit the Tulum Ruins, snorkel in a Cenote named Pet Cemetary, and eat at a Mayan restaurant in the jungle. We went as a small group of four (my boyfriend, his son, his son's friend, and myself).

Our request to ABSOLUTE was that we were a family of 6, who wanted to see Mayan Ruins, pyramids, swim with Turtles, visit a cenote, visit a colonial Mexican town and eat authentic food and we could spread this over 2 days. Claire emailed us with a plan that was perfect.

We had such a great time touring the Tulum ruins and snorkelling in a cenote and also with turtles. My son is 15 & my daughter is 17, we all loved it. Marcel and Ervin were wonderful. They took us to the best meal we had while we were in Cancun at a Myan restaurant in the jungle. It was a very full day but so worth it. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Mexico. It's so nice not to be on a bus full of people just your group and we saw the ruins before the crowds got there. Absolutely amazing time!!

We booked a tour of Coba with the cenote snorkel and it was great. Our guide was Marcel and driver was Ervin. Both gentlemen were very warm and nice. With our early morning pickup they didn't talk our ears off at first being as we were still trying to wake up. Marcel offered to stop any were along the route if we needed for coffee, souvenirs, etc. The actual tour of coba was really nice - Marcel was very informative and we moved at our pace being as it was private. We got to Coba right after is opened which was perfect because the park was not crowded. We decided to rent the bikes (included) for the long distance back to the main pyramid which was fun because it is basically flat so not tough to bike. The climb up was little tough but Marcel gave us a trick that made it easier to handle the steps going up. View was amazing and he pointed out all sorts of interesting things while we were up there. The steps going down was a bit tougher but made it - this is especially challenging for myself because I have balance issues - but I did and it was worth it! As we stopped at other points along the way back at the site we would stop and Marcel would explain different points about the archeological site. We could see more people coming into the park and were glad we got there early. After about 3 hours we slowly left the park and now there was a line of people waiting to get tickets (early pick-up worth it).

We have traveled to many places in the world and have done many excursions, this one ranks as one of the best! We did a private tour, nine of us. Transportation was perfect. We toured Tulum early, so we avoided the heat and crowd. I have swam and snorkeled in a cenote before and it was nothing like this. We were the only group there at the time, it is not one of the more popular ones. We snorkeled through caverns to get to the open water, it was Amazing! Lunch was included at a family run Mayan restaurant where we were permitted to order whatever we wanted. Our trip concluded with swimming with the sea turtles. Every effort was made to make sure everyone in our group did not miss them and we all were pleased to watch these amazing creatures in their environment. As if the experience was not already perfect, Marcel was our tour guide. He was personal, informative and quickly became one of our group. Him and our driver made sure all of our needs were met. The price was great for everything we received and completely worth it. Thanks for a wonderful adventure!

Everything about the tour we took was amazing! They made it so easy for us to book before we got there and gave us a perfect idea of exactly what we would see. We did the Sian Ka'an tour and the day was perfect from start to finish. Chris & Marcel were great guides and we will absolutely call them again for the next trip!! Thanks guys!!

We hired absolute adventures for a private tour for six of us ladies. They were so thorough and had everything we needed. They provided everything from transportation to and from Cancun, cooler drinks flashlight, portable shower, wetsuits and even and wonderful lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was the highlight of our stay ! Thanks Marcel in Ervine for making it fantastic and putting up with us for a long day !!!!!

We wanted to visit Coba, since you can still climb the structures as well as learn the history of these early Mayan people. Our guide , marcel, was excellent ( as was our driver) he answered our questions and added info that added greatly to our trip. Coba lived up to our expectations and then some. We got to set our own pace which is what we wanted. What a great tailored day just for us. The cenote experience was amazing as well as we swam among fish, stalagmites and stalagmites and swam through areas with bats ( in their nests). They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. Chose them based on reviews of others and were not disappointed I would tell all to choose them.

We had an absolutely amazing day with Chris and Absolute Adventure. They picked us up from our hotel promptly and took us snorkeling with turtles in Akumal. We arrived early before the crowds which was great. We saw TONS of turtles, sting rays, and other small fish in crystal clear water. After the turtles we headed to a cenote that was absolutely amazing. Throughout the whole day Chris was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Our personal items were stored in the van and looked after all day. I highly suggest opting for your guide to take photos with their amazing camera. The pictures we received were incredible.

Booking was very easy and tour amazing. We got early in Tulum, we had almost the ruins for the two of us. After the ruins we went snorkeling in an amazing cave system. We finish the day at a local restaurant! Highly recommend this tour.

This excursion was amazing & our guide Marcel was great. We got to see a cenote with underwater caves, snorkle with sea turtles, and see the amazing Tulum ruins. All of which exceeded what I expected. Also, to top in all off we had an authentic mexican/mayan lunch which was delicious, better than anything we had at the "upscale" all inclusive resort we were staying at.

Please do not hesitate to book an excursion with this company. They were WONDERFUL!!! One of the best tours I have ever done. They picked us up right on time with a clean, air-conditioned van that was fully equipped with drinks (including beer!) and various varieties of chips. Marcel, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. If you book a tour with this company, try to request Marcel as your guide! During the snorkeling tour, it became apparent I was not able to swim out as far as the rest of the group due to a hip injury, but Marcel was so kind and patient with helping me get safely back to the shore. I appreciated that! Also, the food at the restaurant we went to was AMAZING!! Probably better than the food at our 5 star all inclusive resort! The took us to Tulum first so we could beat the heat and the crowds. As we finished the tour, there was a huge line to get in so going there first was great! Then we went to the cenote which was beautiful.

This was my 3rd time in Mexico and last two times I've booked a tour to go to pyramids and cenotes, loving the locations but hating a big tour bus experience. This time I knew I wanted to get it right and I sure did! Our van picked us up (4 of us) at our hotel right at the time as promised. Now, instead of going from one hotel to another to pick up a whole busload of people (our last experiences) we were on our way to a personalized tour. We had emailed ahead of time to say what we're looking to do and how, they picked the places and planned it all for us. The final cost was as much or even cheaper as it would have been to go with a tour bus but now we were back in our hotel after lunch instead of spending HOURS driving around for pick-ups, drop-offs and waiting around at random places for people to do their shopping and browsing around. Thank you Absolute Adventure!

We were looking for a private tour - not your usual "meet in the resort lobby and pick a plan from the upsellers" kind of trip. We found excellent reviews for Claire and Absolute Adventure Mexico and started our email communication. We're an adventurous bunch and wanted to cram as much as we could into one day - who likes car rides in Mexico, right? We decided on a swim with the turtles in Akumal and just 15 minutes from there you can swim in a fresh water cenote - gorgeous above and below water limestone formations. It was AMAZING! Plus we had lunch at a mayan restaurant!

My wife and I did a private tour of the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and Coba. Tour guide - Claire - was great. Very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Private van and driver (Alvin). Long day - left resort at 6:30 am and got back at around 5:30 p.m. "Normal" package is one ruin and cenote visit, but they modified to fit our request. They provided snacks and drinks in van. Driver stayed with van so able to leave personal items in the van during our tours. Lunch included - we have a lovely lunch at a local restaurant featuring Mayan food. They also do private scuba trips. I believe they can basically do whatever you would like. Price is very reasonable given the personal attention and services provided. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend to others. They accommodate families with children. Worked out details via email in advance - which I would recommend as they are a smaller operation.

Our guide Marcel took us to 2 cenotes, Pet Cemetery and Jaguar, which were both great. Pet Cemetery was an underground cave that we could swim through, with interesting formations, both overhead and underwater. The water was a little chilly but the guide provided wetsuits and snorkel gear. He led us through the cave and pointed out interesting items. Jaguar was an outdoor cenote that we could zip line over. There were high sides that we could jump off of if we wanted. Then we had lunch at an authentic Mayan restaurant and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great day with Absolute Adventure. Our guide Chris was AMAZING! Super knowledgeable and very encouraging when I got super scared to go in the caves snorkeling. We started with Tulum which was breathtaking! From there we went snorkeling through the cenotes which was truly magical and I am thankful to Chris for pushing me to do this as I was scared at first. Then we stopped for lunch as a little place that had the most delicious corn tortillas (not to mention all the other food that was super yummy) ever! We finished off lunch with a little tequila then headed to snorkel with the turtles. We not only saw many turtles we also saw barracuda, sting rays, lobster and lots of other sea life. The private transportation was really nice and we felt safe leaving everything in our van with our driver which was nice so we didn't have to lug our bags around. Overall it was a really awesome day and I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone visiting the area.

We booked this tour based on previous TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Claire was a fantastic tour guide and made our day extremely enjoyable. We wanted to go to Chichen Itza and were so happy we chose a private tour so it could be customized to our preferences. Lunch after in Valladolid was our favorite meal of the whole trip.

This was the best tour experience I have ever had. From the first email to the end of the tour. A group of my friends were in Playa del Carmen and we wanted a private tour experience to swim with turtles in Akumal and to swim in a Cenote. My first point of contact was with Claire. She returned emails promptly and answered all of my questions. I felt very confidant with booking this tour for us. Marcel was our guide and he was great! Super fun and very knowledgeable about the area. He engaged us in conversation and was very helpful. The water was a bit rough in Akumal and after a bit he went into shore with half the group but made sure we had a great guide to complete our swim. After the swim we went to the Pet Cemetary Cenote. Absolutely breathtaking! The lunch after was in the jungle. The best Mexican/Mayan food I have ever eaten. I would drive down there just for the food. The meal was included in the tour. Marcel joined us at our table and we had great conversation and laughs. We were never pushed to hurry and went at our own pace. I travel frequently and I am always dependent on reviews like this to find the safest and friendliest service out there when visiting other countries. I also book business travel for work so knowledgeable in the travel industry. This company will book private toyrs for as little as 2 people. We had 8 in our party. You cannot go wrong with Absolute Adventure Mexico!

Our family recently chartered Absolute Adventure Mexico for a day of adventure near Playa del Carmen, ages from 70 to 11. It was an unforgettable experience for all. We toured the ruins at Tulum, snorkeled the reef, and snorkeled/swam in a cenote. Co-owner, Claire, was a great help with the planning, registration, and billing---very personalized service. Thanks, Claire. Tour guide, Chris, was fantastic with his knowledge, abilities, and humor. He is an expert cave diver, so the journey through the cenote was especially exciting; he took us to some seldom visited areas. Pick up at our resort was early so we avoided the crowds at Tulum; they were arriving as we were leaving. Beautiful location and amazing historical details. On to snorkeling near Playa. Thanks to our van driver for great, tight driving, and getting up-front parking everywhere. Chris helped "gear us up" and we hopped into the panga for a short boat ride out to the reef---not easy on a rather choppy day at sea. The 2 young men running the panga knew what they were doing. We anchored and snorkeled the reef for about 1 hour. Even our 11 and 13 year old granddaughters were very brave and conquered the seas. Lots of fish and creatures. Then it was off to the Juanita Restaurant in the jungle near the cenote. Great lunch followed by a shot of Chris' own tequila. And finally the cenote swim. We returned to the resort at about 5 pm. I highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico. They are a small tour company that values nature and the environment, and they provide very professional and personal service. I found them by perusing Trip Advisor. You should, too.

This is our second time to Cancun on our second visit with Absolute Adventures and each time it makes our total vacation a success. This time we were traveling with a different family and wanted them to experience this awesome tour. Although our friend said she would not snorkel, since she did not like her last experience with a different tour group, as she got to know our tour guide, Marcel, she changed her mind and as she said "had the adventure of her life". We were two families one with two 20 year old daughters and the other with 2 daughters 11 and 9. Every person in the group loved their experience. From our last experience our girls knew it was worth being picked up at 6:30 from our hotel since waking up this early helps you explore the area before the large busses of tourists take over the beautiful sights. We explored the turtles before the crowds showed up and then went to a beautiful cenote which is the highlight of any trip to this region and must not be missed! Another highlight was lunch at a Mayan Restaurant where they showed our girls how to climb the tree and have fresh coconut for lunch. To our surprise all four girls ordered the Mayan Special to really try the local food. Without question this tour and then one we took last year made our trips to Cancun very very special. Thank you Claire for all your help and for offering an affordable adventure - the trip is about the same for a big bus tour but offers you so much more. Your tour guides are awesome!

Absolute Adventure took care of everything for us, Claire was wonderful as was our snorkeling guide paz they made sure we all had a great time we saw a ton of fish even Turtles and stingrays the next time we are in Mexico we will use absolute adventure for sure
