We had a group of 10 adults and chose to do Punta Laguna monkey reserve, which included a zipline across a lake, and then canoeing across that same lake. We saw several monkeys, and experienced a cultural ritual. Afterwards we were able to rappel into an underground cenote that was incredible. Following that, we explored Cobá ruins by bike and climb to the top of a pyramid. Ended our excursion with a delicious Mexican lunch before being driven right back to the lobby of our resort. Our guide Jose (or JJ) was so likable! He was funny, easy going, and honest. He also answered all of our questions and we hope to be able to get him next time we do an excursion in Mexico!

Chichen Itza, Oxman Cenote, and Valladolid were amazing. Absolute Adventure Mexico was easy to book with, communicate with, and the whole process was seamless. Joshua was an amazing tour guide and he did a wonderful job taking questions from our kids, and making the history of the Mayan Culture engaging and informative. He was nothing short of excellent. Rodrigo was great as our driver and the ride was comfortable with plenty of stops along the way to stretch our legs and use the restroom if needed. I will definitely book with Absolute Adventure Mexico for future excursions. The experience through them was perfect for our group of different interests and age demographics.

We took a private tour to Chichen Itza as a family of 4. Our tour guide was Arturo and he was the absolute best! Pickup time was flexible and he accommodated any breaks or bathroom stops we needed along the way and throughout the tour. He took great photos of our family at every major stop and was very patient with us anytime we needed to slow down, or when we wanted to look at souvenirs. He conducted the tour in a very engaging way that made for a wonderful experience. Ample cold beverages were provided and the ride was smooth and reliable. I would definitely book another tour through this company, and especially with Arturo, again!

We did the Swim with the turtles and cenote tour. Cristina and Kiki picked us up on time from our resort. Everything was explained about the day and what would happen. Swimming with the turtles was awesome! We even seen stingrays. We then went to our cenote and had a wonderful time there. We had lunch at a local restaurant with authentic food. It was very good. The tour was better than advertised and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend using this company. Thank you Cristina and Kiki.

What an amazing excursion — truly the highlight of our trip! Christina and Ivan picked us up from our hotel right on time, and from that moment on everything was seamless. Our first stop was the Tulum ruins, where Christina gave an incredible tour. She explained the history and architecture in such a fun, engaging way that we learned a ton while also having a great time. After that, we headed to the Taak Bi Ha Cenote, and this part was unforgettable. Christina guided us through the cenote with snorkeling gear, even taking us safely into some of the cave entrances. She kept us informed, comfortable, and always safe — which is so important with all the cave formations. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Juanita’s restaurant, then made our way to Akumal Bay to snorkel with sea turtles. Christina and our bay guide, Anna, took us out where we saw dozens of turtles, plus a stingray and even a barracuda! From start to finish, the day was perfectly planned, super fun, and absolutely memorable. Highly recommend!

We had clear communication from the time of booking (while still in the UK) up to our private tour. Cristina and Yos picked us up on time in a nice clean mini bus, stocked with cold drinks and snacks. As it was a private tour we could stop when we wanted on the long, but comfortable drive to Chichen Itza. We arrived before the crowds and had a really informative tour by Cristina who provided lots of points of interest that would have been easily missed. We had lots of time to take in this amazing site at our own pace. After we headed off to explore a nearby cenote, again beating the crowds for an amazing experience. Lunch (included) and a quick walk around Valladolid before heading back to our resort. Sure there are cheaper options for day trips in big groups, but the personal private tour is so worth it, making the most of your precious holiday time and having such an amazing experience.

This cenotes tour was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip! From start to finish, everything was seamless, fun, and incredibly well organized. Huge shoutout to Yosmar, our driver—professional, friendly, and made us feel completely safe the entire ride. He was always on time, super courteous, and somehow managed to make the drives between cenotes relaxing and enjoyable (which says a lot on vacation days!). And Dulce, our tour guide… WOW. She was phenomenal. Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about what she does. She explained the history and significance of each cenote in such an engaging way, answered every question with a smile, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. You could tell she truly cared about us having the best experience possible. The cenotes themselves were breathtaking—crystal-clear water, stunning natural beauty, and plenty of time to swim, explore, and soak it all in without feeling rushed. Everything felt thoughtfully planned and perfectly paced. If you’re even considering a cenotes tour, do it—and hope you get Yosmar and Dulce. They turned an already amazing excursion into an unforgettable experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Private Chichen Itza and Valladolid tour for two, Juan was a excellent tour guide with great timing to avoid all the crowds. Gave plenty of time for anything we wanted to do with great information. Great lunch next to Convent of San Bernardino de Siena. The driver was excellent, I just cant remember his name but always was welcoming and on time. Definitely Recommend for a Private Tour, will use them again.

We had a wonderful experience with Dulce and Omar in January 2026. We opted for the private tour of Chichen Itza and Cenotes as we had our one year old daughter with us and we were very pleased we did! The whole experience was positive from start to finish. Communication ahead of the tour was great, Dulce and Omar were very accommodating and helpful during our trip, and Dulce provided an excellent private tour, answering all of our questions and providing lots of details as we travelled through the sites. We would highly recommend this company for private tours!

A Chichén Itz-A+ Experience! We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Absolute Adventures, thanks in large part to our incredible guide, Arturo, and our professional driver, Yosmar. Arturo guided us through all the major archaeological sites at Chichén Itzá with a perfect balance of deep knowledge, storytelling, and patience. He answered countless questions—not just from my wife and me, but also from our very curious 10- and 8-year-old children. He made history come alive in a way that was engaging and accessible for all of us, which is no small feat on a long, hot day. What truly set Arturo apart was how attentive he was to our children’s needs. He made sure we moved at a comfortable pace, checked in frequently, and ensured the kids stayed engaged and comfortable throughout the tour. He also did a fantastic job preparing us for interactions with vendors and other on-site situations, which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our driver, Yosmar, was equally impressive. He was extremely professional, always parking in safe areas—and whenever possible, in the shade (a huge bonus!). He was attentive while we were getting in and out of the vehicle at each stop, especially when traffic was present, which made us feel very well taken care of. After the archaeological sites, Yosmar drove us to a beautiful cenote, where Arturo again went above and beyond—explaining all the amenities, walking down with us, and even helping carry one of our bags. We later stopped at an authentic Mayan/Mexican restaurant, where even our kids found food they loved. Arturo asked if he could join us for lunch, and we were happy to have him—his insight into the dishes and local cuisine made the meal even more enjoyable. We wrapped up the day with a stop in Valladolid, getting a quick but meaningful look at the Spanish influence, Mayan culture, and, of course, chocolate. It was a long day, but being able to go at our own pace—with our needs and preferences fully respected—made it more than worth it. Booking with Absolute Adventures was one of the best decisions we made on this trip, and we would absolutely do it again. Highly recommended for families, especially those traveling with children.

We had an amazing experience with Absolute Adventure on their Chichén Itzá Private Express tour from Tulum — worth every penny. Private pickup, early entry, and a guide who knew exactly how to beat the crowds and get incredible photos made this feel truly VIP. From the start, their customer service stood out. The chat rep rearranged vehicles so our group of three didn’t have to pay for a four-person tour, which we really appreciated. Our driver and guide arrived a bit early, waited patiently when we ran a few minutes behind, and even stopped for coffee on the 6:30am pickup. Arriving right before opening made all the difference — we had much of the site to ourselves. Our guide Juan was fantastic: he explained the history using visuals on his phone and printed diagrams, gave us local restaurant recommendations, and mapped a route that got us all the iconic photos before the large tour groups arrived. He even pointed us to the best vendors for fair prices. Our driver got us there and back safely and stopped for snacks on the return since we didn’t choose the lunch option. We came away with great photos, a deeper understanding of the site, and an overall excellent experience. I would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a private Chichén Itzá tour from Tulum with early access and a knowledgeable guide.

We had an incredible tour with Juan out of Puerto Aventuras. Upon meeting our families (total group of 8), he made some expert recommendations based on the size/age of our kids and he sure didn’t disappoint! We guided us efficiently through Tulum to start the day, with virtually zero tourists to be seen - it was amazing. He shares historical insights and current Mexican knowledge. The ultimate guide. Thanks to Juan, the cenote he chose for us was magical. Something for everyone in our group - zip line, platform jumping and small caves which was perfect for us. Lunch was a delight - a small restaurant “off the path” which we would never have found ourselves. The icing on the cake was Akumal and swimming with the turtles. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Riviera Maya and we are SO grateful for Juan and our awesome driver who made the experience absolutely memorable. - Katie Alexander and family January 2026

Cristina and our driver, Ivan were amazing! On time to pick us up, cooler full of drinks and a great upbeat vibe! Cristina is local born and raised and has so much knowledge of the local history to share. Tulum was our first stop and Cristina was all over it! She shared historical photos on her iPad and really hit the highlights of Tulum and the ruins. We were early enough to beat most of the big crowds but be aware, it fills up quickly. One of the big advantages to Absolute Adventures is the small group size. We were only 2 couples and it was perfect. Other tour guides were trying to get big groups to stay together and it wasn’t happening. This is the only way to do this kind of outing. (6 people probably would have worked as well but no more in my opinion). Next stop was a Cenote and we chose Taak bi ha and it was very cool. Cristina was with us throughout, had snorkels, flashlights and lots of geological info that was fascinating. I saw other people listening in to her stories as well. Be aware, the entrance is pretty a pretty steep staircase but it’s doable. Might be tough for some older people or those with knee injuries. Lunch was just down the road at Juanita’s restaurant and was included in our package. Drinks were separate but the place is very cool with terrific local food. My wife had an Coco Loco drink in a coconut, only order if you love crème de mint. Our last stop was Akumel to swim with the turtles. Cristina and a local guide Anna made sure we got to see lots of turtles as well as stingrays, barracuda’s and other fish. The area is pretty touristy but it was still a lot of fun to see the turtles grazing on grasses in the bay. I also want to give a shoutout to Ivan who was awesome. He safely navigated us on highways, back roads and city streets like a pro! He also stayed with the vehicle while we were exploring which made us feel comfortable leaving our personal items at the van. Beers, waters etc were always waiting for us upon return, thanks Ivan!! This was our first trip to Tulum so I don’t have much to compare it to but from what I’ve seen Absolute Adventures has an amazing guide and driver combo in Cristina and Ivan. Highly recommended.

My husband and I did a private tour of Chichen Itza on Friday January 30th. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Juan was an excellent tour guide with tons of knowledge and experience. He ensured we got there early and even had a few minutes to take photographs alone, before the temple area became overrun with tourists. We learned a lot and truly recommend Absolute Adventure private tours for anyone looking for a reliable company to tour Chichen Itza with! Thank you so much for an amazing day.

My friend and I loved our private tour through Absolute Adventure Mexico guided by the wonderful Juan!! We started out at the Tulum ruins where Juan pointed the various structures and provided a through history of the Mayans. Next we swam in the serene Nicte Ha cenote, and because the overall tour starts early, we had the cenote to ourselves, which was amazing! After swimming, we had a fabulous lunch down the road at Restaurante Juanita. We ended our fantastic tour at Akumal Bay where we snorkled around the sea turtles, sting rays, and an array of beautiful fish. We would absolutely book again with Absolute Adventures Mexico and would request Juan as our guide!
