I've been diving in Cozumel a dozen times but this was my 1st trip to Tulum and the Cenotes. Stumbled on ABSOLUTE ADVENTURES on Trip Advisor. It seemed a bit expensive but was so worth it! Dulce (what a doll!) and her driver met us just off the boat and gave us a day to remember, highlight of the week!

We chose the Private Tulum and Coba Tour. Chris was our tour guide for the day. The entire tour was amazing. Chris was prompt arriving at our resort for pickup. Along our drive he was personable and knowledgable. Arriving at Tulum I knew we'd made the right choice to have a private tour. We enjoyed the ruins with insight from Chris. We then traveled to Coba which was my favorite part of the tour. Much less crowded and very interesting to see so many ruins covered by the jungle. To round out out tour we stopped at a local restaurant in Coba for lunch. It was delicious. I highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico! Top notch service.

I cannot say enough about this tour. Just absolutely amazing from start to finish. Claire was a wonderful attentive guide. Juan Manuel was a fantastic driver and, as a team, they provided us with the most amazing educational experience ever! Claire is an experienced diver and gave us a comprehensive denote snorkeling tour with confidence. My wife uses a wheelchair for some long tours and Claire was patient, helpful, companionate, and attentive. We all had authentic Mexican lunch to cap off the tour. Do yourself a favor and book with them, you will not regret it!

Absolutely recommend! JJ (Juan Diez) was a pleasure, with a lot of knowledge of the area and a diverse background living globally. He was very informative and conversational, but also stepped back to give you private time and/or nap on the transport. Pascual was our driver and he was equally professional and extremely safe driver. Highly recommend absolute adventures, but more importantly JJ and Pascual. They made the tour of Tulum and Dos Ojos unforgettable! Absolutely breathtaking and able to focus on the sites while guides by true professionals.

We booked private cenote tour and could have been happier. JJ was our guide. We went to 3 underground cenotes, and one open cenote. The colors were fabulous, the experience of snorkeling through passages made you feel like an explorer. Snorkels and flashlights provided. Lunch was great. If you have kids with solid swim skills. They will LOVE this.

Chris was the best! We just showed up and he took care of everything else - even provided coffee & danish for our ride to Chichen Itza. The tour of the Mayan Ruins was outstanding. Chris was funny & very knowledgeable. After the ruins we got to swim in the incredible cenote. Our day ended with an excellent lunch & shopping in Valladolid. We were never hungry or thirsty, as snacks and beverages were provided for us the entire trip. Chris was picture-taker, guide, and friend. Juan was our faithful driver, keeping our belongings safe and secure while we were off adventuring. I can't recommend this day trip and their people more. Truly an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

We did the Tulum tour with a 4 year old, 14 year old and 4 adults. Juan made the day fun and enjoyable for all age groups! Would definitely book again!

This was a great excursion. Dulce was our tour guide and Pascal our driver. Good amount of communication prior to the trip to work out the details. They arrived on time for pick-up and off we went. Tulum was interesting the Dulce had lots of fun facts. It was just long enough to see the site but not too long that the teenagers lost all interest in the tour. We selected the cavern cenote and that was really different from the open top cenotes. We had a nice lunch and then off to Akumal to see the turtles. Great tour around the bay. I would highly recommend based on getting to do a variety of activities without a long and exhausting day.

My boyfriend and I just got back from Mexico today, and did the Chichén Itzá private tour. The experience all around was an absolute 10/10. Our tour guide Chris was knowledgeable, professional, and just an all around nice person to spend the day with. The extra money spent for this tour was more than worth it! We got to Chichén Itza early, and were able to have the place mostly to ourselves before hordes of people and tour buses started arriving. This was also beneficial as it was a hot day, and we beat the heat. There is very little shade available at the site. It was so nice to have a personal guide to take us around, explain the history, and answer our questions. The cenote that we visited was breathtakingly beautiful. I cannot describe it and do it justice. Though it was further away from Chichén Itza, it was worth the drive. It was not crowded at all. We got to spend a lot of time there and take it in. Throughout this trip I never felt rushed anywhere. By going to Valladolid I felt like we got to experience a more authentic experience in Mexico. I felt safe the entire time. We also had ample time in town to eat, shop and relax. The restaurant we stopped at was excellent, and the old Spanish architecture of the buildings was beautiful. Also, our driver was excellent as well and kept all of our belongings safe while we were out enjoying the sights. I plan on booking with Absolute Adventure again in the future, and would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

JJ did an amazing job in his tour of the ruins, giving us all sorts of facts and information. He took us to a quiet cenote that was just our vibe and took our pictures all along the way. Swimming with the Turtles was a spectacular experience and highly recommend! So glad we chose the private tour, as JJ kept us entertained while keeping up with a our pace!

Chris and Rodrigo did an outstanding job on our tour. We visited Tulum, Cenotes, and swam with the turtles. Everything was spot on and Chris was super knowledgeable. We will use them again on our next trip to Mexico!

Do not miss this tour! The tour was amazing as was our guide Juan and driver Rodrigo. If you decide to take this tour you will not be sorry. Our guide Juan was so knowledgeable and helpful. I saw things that I would have never seen on a standard group tour and Juan knew how to navigate away from crowds. I felt very safe given the COVID situation the world is in.

WOW! I normally do not rate my trip experiences, however I felt that I MUST after this one. Our guide, Juan, and driver, Roderigo, were nothing short of amazing. It was as if you had wonderful friends who lived here and took you around to their favorite spots. To preface, I usually hate touristy tours but this is not that. You still get the tourist experience of new and different places and information without dealing with annoying tourists and canned speeches from mediocre guides. Knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and friendly are just some of the many adjectives I’d use to describe Juan, our guide. I felt incredibly safe the entire time, especially in this new Covid world. We were able to tour the Tulum ruins at our own pace with a guide who was a wealth of knowledge. I had never been there before, however, I’d venture a guess that we learned much much more than we would have on another tour. We were taken to spots that many would never stumble across and I was even able to check off my lifelong bucket list item of swimming with sea turtles. I am a huge animal lover and it seemed humane and safe and the turtles were very protected, which you do not always see with wildlife tourist experiences. This experience may be slightly more expensive than other group tours but I cannot stress enough how much it’s worth the extra money. If you’re heading to to Tulum anytime soon or considering it in the future, bookmark this as an absolute MUST. I promise you the pictures do not do it justice. This is an experience of a lifetime that you will not regret.

This was incredible! Chris was out tour guide and he was so much more than a guide! My husband isn’t much on water and he had an amazing time talking to Chris! The cenotes were amazing and lunch was fabulous. We will definitely tell others this is the tour to take!

The cenotes are very cool, we saw one that was open with lots of colorful flowers, water lilies, and fish. We then went to one that was totally underground and a completely different experience. Wetsuits were provided for the totally underground one as the water was cooler than the outside cenote. Lunch was great and ride back to the hotel was easy. Claire was great- we were originally scheduled to go snorkeling but the waves were too high. She suggested we could either reschedule, cancel, or do this cenote trip. As we couldn't reschedule due to our departure date, we went with her suggestion of the cenotes, and I'm glad we did. Reef snorkeling is available many places in the world, but it's not everywhere you can snorkel in a cenote. Trips with Absolute Adventure Mexico are really awesome, we will definitely use them again the next time we are in Playa del Carmen.

This trip is awesome. Yes, you start early, but it's worth it when you are first in line to get in. We were the first ones to the large pyramid, and have tons of pictures with no one else in them. It is also nice to be leaving Chichen Itza before it gets too hot. Juan was extremely well versed in the history of the site and is great at communicating the info. As other people have said, it is literally like going on a tour with a friend. The cenotes after were really cool, and lunch was awesome. Claire was amazingly flexible with our travel plans as they kept changing due to COVID. I really can't say enough good things about them.

We took the Tulum and Tortuga tour with JJ (Juan). It was absolutely amazing! JJ was so accommodating and made us all so excited to be there. He was super knowledgeable about the ruins and the whole Rivera Maya area. My mom is very scared of the ocean and he made her comfortable enough to go in and brought her back to shore halfway through to make sure she felt safe. We never thought she would even go in! The lunch was awesome and he told us the best things to order and best drinks. He made this experience the highlight of our entire Mexico trip!

Every aspect of Absolute Adventures was amazing! I am so happy we found this tour group for our January 2021 Cancun vacation! Claire was so helpful when booking our tours and was super accommodating. She also responded quickly to our emails when we had questions. Our two tours with Juan and Rodrigo were the highlight of our trip! We had the best time. They were friendly and went out of their way for us during our tours. Absolute adventures gives great recommendations for when to start your tour so that you beat the crowds of people. Both days we were the very first group of people at popular attractions and were able to tour them more peacefully and get great photos. Juan told us cultural/historical facts during our tours and also was super nice about taking pictures of our group for us. Rodrigo kept the bus and the equipment super clean and had everything ready to go all of the time! We loved lunch at the two different spots included in our tours and thought this was a nice option over other tours I researched that only included a “box lunch.” They also had drinks for us in the van. Absolute Adventures takes precautions for covid and we loved that these were private tours of just our family. We loved our tours and can’t wait to visit again!

On December 30th, 2020 we took a private tour of the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, reef snorkel, cenote snorkel and lunch. Our tour guide, Dulce and driver, Pasqual picked us up right at our hotel warmly greeted us while providing optimal social distancing - as this was during the time of Covid-19. I can't say enough how much this tour was simply just the highlight of our stay in Quintana Roo. Dulce was so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Imagine for a second that you are visiting your best friend in Mexico - and she wants to show you the town - this is exactly what it felt like. She assisted in taking photos and videos of us, and showed us the optimum places to take them. I feel that Dulce and Pasqual went above and beyond when it was determined that the reef snorkeling was not ideal due to the wind. Dulce provided us with an alternative - to snorkel with the Sea Turtles. She even called her connection to ensure that the turtles were at the bay before making sure that this was the right thing to do. The professionalism, tour, food, and the service from Dulce and Pasqual was unlike any tour I have ever taken in my life. I would highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico for any sight seeing needs. Huge thank you to Claire for your impeccable communication - she assisted us with some last minute changes. Dulce and Pasqual, Thank you for such an awesome day.

We did a tour with Absolute Adventures to Tulum, Nicte-Ha ceynote and Akumal beach to swim with sea turtles. Dulce was our guide and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable and very nice to spend the day with. Our driver Pascual was safe on the roads. The ceynote was a very cool experience but Akumal blew us away, we saw so many sea turtles so close up, as well as two species of rays and countless fish. Cannot recommend this tour company highly enough, they did everything right!
