The Coba ruins are spectacular. There are many large and not so large structures scattered over a fairly large area. Our guide Arturo was a wealth of knowledge about the ruins as well as the history, trees, plants and animals of the area. Seeing the ruins with Arturo was like having a friend showing you around his backyard! Getting around on bikes was fairly easy as the area is mostly flat. It would be a lot of walking without them. And after the heat picked up later in the morning it was nice to take a cool dip in a beautiful cenote. The steps getting down were steep but it added to the thrill! And we even had time for a bonus second cenote for a little platform diving into a deep underground cenote! Very cool! And lastly we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch that had the best Mexico food that we had all week! All and all, it was a wonderful day and was exactly the way we had hoped it would be.

Perfect Tour of Tulum This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Mexico! Alex was an amazing tour guide who was so knowledgeable about the sites and Mayan culture, and he was super patient and never rushed us at all, which we appreciated. We loved all the history we got from him at the Tulum ruins, and he knew all the perfect spots for photos of our family there. Our driver Rodrigo was also fantastic, always waiting close by when it was time to move to the next stop. We chose the underground cenote for snorkeling, and it was such a unique and beautiful experience. And then the snorkeling in the sea was also so fun and memorable - we saw sting rays, turtles, starfish and tropical fish around a coral reef! The Mayan lunch was absolutely delicious as well. This was the perfect tour combination to get a good variety of what Tulum has to offer. Our kids loved it too (ages 11, 13 and 14), and even thanked us so much for booking it for our family. Would definitely recommend!

SOLID Tour All Around? Arturo was our chaperone/guide, he was fantastic. Great car accommodations, knowledgeable, helpful with our 70 and 75 yr old parents, created a comfortable and safe experience. Coming from the US, we were concerned about safety, but I would recommend Awesome Adventures to any group. In a short period of time we had a very valuable and fun experience.

Excellent! Grear trip that was so much better than a group trip? private was indeed private. Joshua was a great guide & even had lunch with us which allowed us to hear more about Mexican culture? Apologies but I?ve forgotten the drivers name - but he was exceptional also - with drinks on hand after each stop!!! A brilliant day ? much recommended.

Another excellent tour with absolute adventures mexico. Always a pleasure to deal with this company. We were picked up by the lovely Juan and Carlos (, who we had requested as we had gone with them last year,). Like meeting old friends... Juan guided myself and my 82 year old father around the Tulum ruins. Very knowledgeable about the ruins and gave plenty of opportunities to stop. Had no reservations about recommended company to friends who arrive later this month. Thank you again for another great day....

Super recommended! The whole day was a great experience with beautiful views and a great lunch. Arturo was an amazing guide and made us feel very comfortable! We opted for an early pick up time which was well worth it since we were the first ones at the cenote.

Great company, good value, and definitely recommended We had a fantastic private Tulum and Turtle Snorkelling tour with Absolute Adventure. Right from the start, from booking and pre-trip communication, the service was slick, easy and professional. We were collected from out hotel on time and enjoyed a quick transfer to Tulum, without all the nonsense of having to drive around hotels collecting other guests. On the tour we had a great guide who looked after us and took us around the ruins and then the nature reserve. We finished with a lovely lunch of the best tacos we had eaten all holiday. Would definitely recommend this company.

It was like a day with good friends! I?ve been on many trips and vacations, and this, by far was the best excursion I?ve ever been on! JJ, our guide, made the day so personalized and fun. He answered all of our questions, talked with us like friends, and we just had the best day on the Yucat?n peninsula. I so appreciated JJ?s ability to do the tour in both English and Spanish for us ( although my significant other speaks English, he enjoys using his Spanish when he can!) Louis, our driver also did an amazing job. They started early to avoid crowds and heat and we feel we got very lucky! We were at Tulum with very few groups, and even had a cenote completely to ourselves! We also thoroughly enjoyed our private guide at the snorkeling. JJ- you?re the best and we are still talking about how this was our favorite day! Gracias!

Amazing experiences - Coba ruins and Punta Laguna Monkey Reserve A whole day with lots of experiences and a fantastic guide. We saw spidermonkeys very close and heard howler monkeys, swam in a genote and experienced the Coba ruins and much more.

Fun times with JJ My friends and I completed the 2 cenotes and lunch included adventure. During that time our tour guide JJ was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable and helpful with our group in swimming throughout the cenotes. The cenotes were beautiful and the food and drinks at the local spot was amazing and delicious!

Private, Not Crowded, Personable Experience! My husband and I toured the Mayan Ruins in Tulum and went to the most beautiful cave cenote. Juan was very personable and knowledgeable and made the day fun! Omar was a great driver and the van was comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this trip! I have been to Mexico many times and haven?t seen anything like it!

Great private tour with a helpful and knowledgeable tour guide. Had a great time snorkeling in the lagoon. They made sure we got there first before the large groups arrived and we finished as the crowds were arriving. Juan snorkeled with us pointing out some things but giving us freedom to explore reasonably on our own. The lagoon is beautiful. The turtle swim netted four turtles, a stingray and some starfish. All amazing to see in their natural habitat. The fact that it was private made it so much nicer and we enjoyed an truly delicious lunch before returning to our resort. Definitely recommend. And Juan, our tour guide, was excellent.

Alex and Omar - Fantastic Day in Chichen Itza! We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our day trip with Alex and Omar! Alex's knowledge of the Mayan culture and Chichen Itza was amazing. He made the 2 plus hour van ride from Puerto Juarez to Chichen Itza fly by. CI was pretty busy on the day of our visit, but Alex kept us moving and knew how to avoid the crowds, without missing any of the things we wanted to see up close. Our visit to the cenote after was just what we had hoped for, with plenty of time to swim and appreciate the beauty of the place. We stopped for a delicious lunch in a quaint restaurant followed by the ride back to the ferry landing. Alex and Omar were the utmost professionals. We are a mother and young adult daughter traveling together and we felt completely safe on this tour. It was a special day and given the opportunity we would take another tour with Absolute Adventure without hesitation! Thank you Alex and Omar!

We did the Tulum and Turtle tour and the Coba and Monkeys tour with Absolute Adventures and both tours were amazing. JJ, our guide for both trips, was friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with lots of information about what we were seeing. Snorkeling with the turtles was the highlight of our holiday. Would highly recommend Absolute Adventures.

Book it before it sells out! Ask for Alex! First the bad: It?s pricey. Now the good: Completely worth EVERY peso. Alex (guide) and Rodrigo (driver) we?re waiting for us when we walked up at 7am. I don?t know how long the ride to Tulum was because Alex gave us a history of Mayan culture along the way. We got to try cacao, look at obsidian used as knives and replica Mayan books. We had ice cold drinks for the day in the van for us. At Tulum, Alex continued his lesson and answered all our questions. Rodigo stayed with the van and watched our belongings. Alex let us know we could take as much or as little time as we wanted- we never felted rushed or forced to endure something we weren?t enjoying. After Tulum, we had our choice of 3 cenotes. We took Alex?s advice and went to Taak bi Ha- highly recommended? it is beautiful. Alex showed us fossils in the limestone and took great care with one of the weaker swimmers in our group. After the tour of the cenote we got some free time to swim before lunch. Lunch was included at a Mayan restaurant near the cenote. It was delicious. Poor Alex answered a ton of questions for us at lunch. After lunch it was off to swim with the turtles! Alex handed us off to Miguel and found about 10 turtles and some fish too! All of us napped on the way back to the hotel - exhausted but happy. If you can afford this tour but you?re wondering if it?s worth the cost? Book it! You?ll be glad you did!

My wife and I love history and we also wanted to explore Mexico, not just stay on the resort. We booked this a little nervous not knowing really how it would be spending an entire day with a stranger?Man I can honestly say this was the best part of our vacation. Alex and Omar were awesome. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming here. Alexis knew a ton and had the timing for the whole trip down perfectly. For anyone scrolling this is a real review. Alex and Omar, thank you guys. You genuinely made this vacation.

Altogether, the tour was awesome. Juan was really great guiding, catering, and had an abundance of knowledge about Mayan/Mexican culture, and Carlos did a great job of getting is to our destinations safe. Chichen Itza exceed all expectations and the cenote was beautiful! To top it off, the lunch at El Atrio in Tulum was *chefs kiss*. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to visit Chichen Itza to book this tour! Thanks again Juan and Carlos!

Wonderful Cenote Tour with Lunch. Was more than pleased with our private tour. Our guide was Joshua and driver was Carlos. We were picked up promptly and had good communication before the trip to plan best. The tour was awesome and with a lot of flexibility to pick best for our family. We traveled with my husband and I and our 10 year old son. He loved the Jaguar cenote because of the zip line and jumping platforms. Joshua was patient and knowledgeable both about the history and ecology of the cenotes. Lunch was surprisingly good and a wonderful way to end our half day tour before heading back to the hotel. I would recommend this tour and the lunch.

Amazing Experience! A breathtaking experience for our first family trip to a cenote! From the booking to the end of the tour, this was a first-class experience! Claire coordinated the tour, including pick-up (at a location that was not on the drop-down menu), and regular communication via text. The driver arrived as scheduled, along with our guide, Arturo. Throughout the tour, Arturo shared his knowledge and was patient with our family of seven. He made sure to check in with each person individually throughout the tour to make sure that we were all having the best experience. After swimming in the cenotes, we enjoyed an amazing Mayan lunch with Arturo, where we shared some laughs had more photo opportunities. We would recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

Amazing trip to Mayan Ruins and Cenotes! We had the best time with Arturo to see the Mayan Ruins and swim in the cenotes! He brought us drinks in a cooler and life vests and snorkel gear! He was so great with our two families - we got an early start to see the ruins (best way to go) and we had fun zip lining and jumping off platforms, and swimming in the cenotes! Thank you!

Better than amazing! My wife and I spent the morning with our guide, Joshua, and driver, Rodrigo. They both worked very hard to make sure we had a great time. Joshua guided us on which two cenotes to choose and then began giving us a history lesson that lasted the entire trip. He was very patient with us as we got comfortable with the beautiful, yet very cold water. He slowly snorkeled with us and made sure that we saw the best parts. He also made sure we were appropriately reverent to the ecology and history of what we were touring. We could not recommend this tour, these guides, and this company more. We hope to be back soon and try a different excursion.

Tour guide JJ (Juan) and our driver were both fantastic. Having been on many tours in the past it was refreshing to have a tour guide tailor the tour to our group, with 4 kids from 4-10 years old. JJ tailored the tour to first prioritize photo opportunity?s before crowds moved in, then spent an age appropriate amount of time on the ruins, history and allowed any questions. For the Cenote, his local experience was invaluable, as he knew the best places to go for our group size and abilities. The Mayan lunch was local, simple but very impressive. Great tasting food and drinks. The Turtle preserve and snorkeling was also very well chosen and we were paired with knowledgeable and competent guides. Due to wind, visibility in the water was a challenge but still some great opportunities. Our tour van was great, clean and well maintained. Plan to do tours with JJ and Absolute Adventure again soon!!!

Hands down best tour we?ve ever done! Jose (JJ) was our private guide and took us on a tour of the Tulum Mayan Ruins, a Cenote and a traditional Mayan lunch. He started the tour early, which was such a wise decision because we felt like we were the only people everywhere we went! It really helped us be able to soak it all in. He was extremely knowledgeable of everywhere we went and also made it feel very personable! We loved every second and didn?t want it to end!
