Seeing a wonder of the world in style! This was an amazing tour! We were picked up at our hotel by Omar (our driver) and Juan (our tour guide). Juan, took us all over the Chichen Itza site. We zoomed past the crowds and got in before most people were able to. By doing this, we were able to get some amazing pictures of the ruins! After seeing this beautiful wonder of the world, we went to lunch at a very nice restaurant at a nearby town and did a little shopping in a colonial square. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Just a great experience through and through!

Great Trip To Tulum! We had a great trip to Tulum! Our guide Josh was knowledgeable, informative, and helpful! As we toured the site, Josh provided us with insights and perspective of the Mian culture. It was a great day and we all had a lot of fun! 5-Stars!!

Amazing experience! This private tour was amazing! Private tours are the way to go! They picked us up from our hotel and drove us an hour to the first cenote. We chose Dos Ojos and Pet Cemetery. Both were a gorgeous and unique experience. There was no pressure and we were able to take our time. Our guide Arturo and his trainee Christina were the best! We can?t forget our driver Rodrigo as well and his heavy metal music! They were all accommodating, very knowledgeable, and so friendly! The sites and sounds and almost near privacy were exceptional! Lunch was also included and tasty. Our guides ate with us and it was perfect getting to know all about them! 10/10 recommend!

Thank you Juan!! This trip is so worth the money. Juan our tour guide was so incredibly knowledgeable about Mexico's history. He made sure we got to chichen half an hour before opening, so we were able to have pictures with the pyramid with no body else there. We went the opposite way to the other groups so everywhere we went there was only us. Him and Omar (driver) took great care of us through our the day and the food in Valladolid was amazing. We set off from our hotel at half 6 and arrived back at half 3 so it wasn't too long of a day. Can not recommend this company enough. Great value for money.

What a fun experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable. He answered any question we asked and then expounded on it. It was great to be taken care of and to not have to worry about taxis, lines, and tickets. We would definitely book with them again and recommend them to others!

Awesome adventure! Joshua is a wonderful guide. Took our family of 5 with 2 kids (5 and 8 good snorkelers) to dos ojos cenote and Akumal beach. Saw many turtles at akumal and the cenote was such a great adventure! Thanks again Joshua!

Coba tour couldn't be better! Awesome tour of the Coba ruins. Josh was awesome, personable, knowledgeable and great fun. We learned so much and enjoyed the tour immensely. The cenote swims were out of this world. Lunch too! We took home awesome photos that will make the experience so memorable.

We booked a private tour to Chichen Itza, which included a cenote swim and a visit to Valladolid. You'll receive a confirmation via email and text, as well as a reminder two days before the tour, which includes a request for your gear size for the cenote swim. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that Absolute Adventures is committed to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences tailored to individual preferences. Our pickup was scheduled for 6:30 a.m., and we were collected promptly. We met Alex, our guide, and Enrique, our driver. Alex set the tone for the day by clearly outlining the expectations and itinerary. He was considerate of our time zone difference (we are from the West Coast) and respected our need to rest on the way to Chichen Itza. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Mayans, ensuring we had a rich and informative experience. Alex was attentive to our needs and made adjustments to the itinerary to enhance our experience. Throughout the tour, we felt secure and well cared for. The transportation was comfortable and reliable, and all activities were conducted with a strong emphasis on safety protocols. This was an amazing excursion! It met all our expectations and Juan and Omar were extremely helpful, insightful and knowledgeable. We went to Coba Ruins in the morning before the crowds and then to a cenote for a nice cool off. Then off to an authentic Mayan lunch. Picked up on time from our resort in Tulum and dropped off in front as well. You must book this tour!

A fantastic Mexican experience! What a fantastic day! Absolute Adventures runs a top notch operation, and we were so happy with our tour guide Josh. He was so welcoming and friendly, and did everything to make sure we had an enjoyable day. From the on time pickup, to the tour he gave us filled with the rich history of Chich?n Itz?, to the refreshing dip in the cenote, everything surpassed our expectations. Perfect express tour! The Tulum Express Tour was perfect for those of us trying to maximize our day! We were picked up promptly at our Airbnb in Playa Del Carmen at 7:00am and were back home about four hours later. Highly recommend arriving at the ruins as early as possible to avoid the crowds and the heat. Our tour guide, Arturo, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He told us all of the facts and legends of the Mayans in Tulum and answered all of our questions. Thank you Arturo and team!

Wonderful Experience & Highly Recommend Cenote Dos Ojos This was a wonderful experience! Arturo was an absolute amazing tour guide. He was kind, informative, and gave us all the time we needed to get the best experience. We were stuck in traffic due to an accident and I was fearful of not having the full time for the Excursion, but, we were not rushed at all! The restaurant meal was wonderful and Arturo joined us, which was so nice! It was our pleasure to visit with him. My husband is not a strong swimmer and Arturo was so helpful and kind to him. I highly recommend seeing Cenote Dos Ojos!

Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote with Absolute Adventure Mexico - GREAT EXPERIENCE! The Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico was the first of two that my wife and I booked for our week in Playa del Carmen (the second was the Chichen Itza Express, which is also highly recommended). This was our first trip to Mexico, and because we were staying at an all-inclusive resort, the two excursions were our opportunity to embrace Mayan culture and see more of the region. Our tour guide Alex and driver Omar arrived promptly at 7 a.m. stocked with plenty of cold water and the snorkeling equipment we would use for our cenote visit. While this may seem an early start, the benefits of arriving at these sites early cannot be underestimated. Crowds build up through the day, so visiting with fewer other tourists is worthwhile. I will also note that it was just the four of us for the excursion, so it really was a private tour, affording an intimacy with our guide Alex that one can only get in a small group. We began by driving to the Tulum ruins. Alex proved extremely knowledgeable and congenial. While en route, he expounded upon the Mayan civilization and what we would see at the Tulum ruins. He even taught us how the Mayan numbering system worked and how to write different numbers. Who knew that Mayans used a base 20 numbering system? We also learned that Tulum had been razed by Spanish conquistadors and was essentially forgotten for centuries, only rediscovered in 1841. Mangrove forests continue to be pushed back as more of the ancient city is rediscovered. Alex taught us how important the seasonal calendar was to the Mayans and how they used window placement to inform the day relative to the equinoxes or summer solstice (think crop management). The fact that Tulum is situated at the top of a cliff makes it a picturesque place; wandering the site listening to Alex's patient narration was a treat. Leaving Tulum, Alex gave us the choice of three cenotes: Nicte Ha, Taak bi Ha, or Jaguar. Alex explained what each was like, and we selected Taak bi Ha because we liked the idea of snorkeling in a cavern cenote. We arrived at Taak bi Ha on schedule (around 11 a.m.) and prepared for snorkeling. Here, I will note that the equipment provided by Absolute Adventure Mexico was excellent, better than what I own at home. Alex also volunteered that the snorkeling equipment is sanitized after every use, which was appreciated. We snorkeled in the cave for over an hour. Alex snorkeled, too, which was helpful since he could point out a few things before allowing us alone time. It was really a remarkable experience exploring the cavern, though seeing the guidelines that scuba divers use to enter the dark depths impressed upon me that I have zero interest in ever doing that. One other point to make is that our driver Omar remained with the van throughout our time in the cenote, so we never had any concerns about the security of our phones, wallets, etc. At no point did Alex rush us through our adventure. When we were done snorkeling, we returned to the van and drove a short distance to the local restaurant where we enjoyed the lunch that was part of the excursion. Very good, traditional food in ample quantities! And having the opportunity to ask Alex more questions and learn about his life was a privilege. In summary, the Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico is strongly recommended. Alex and Omar were fantastic, and we learned at the end of our excursion that Alex would be taking us on the Chichen Itza Express in two days. Suffice it to say, we were ecstatic to see him again. Guides make the experience, and hiring the best guide talent appears to be a priority for the company. Great job!

Absolute Adventure Mexico - Chichen Itza Express Private Tour - MUST DO! This was the second of two excursions that my wife and I booked with Absolute Adventure Mexico during our week in Playa del Carmen (we also enjoyed the Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote excursion). This was our first trip to Mexico despite our being seasoned travelers, and expanding our knowledge of Mayan culture while visiting the Yucatan Peninsula was important to us. Our pickup was at 6:15 a.m. (very early!) but a worthwhile necessity given the 2.25-hour drive to the Chichen Itza site. We were privileged to have Alex as our guide (second time in three days!) and Enrique as our driver. Alex and Enrique were on time and well prepared with water for the long drive. The van was clean and in excellent condition, and throughout the trip there and back, Enrique drove responsibly and carefully, the latter important given that road conditions were not always ideal. Alex spent time during the early portion of the drive discussing the Mayan civilization at the time of Chichen Itza and details about what we could expect about the site. This foundational knowledge was important to my wife and me; having spent time with us on an excursion two days prior, Alex had already developed a rapport with us and gave us all we could have asked for. This is where I should probably mention that my wife and I were the only passengers in the van and part of the tour. Two adults and one deeply knowledgeable guide is a recipe for a great experience! We stopped for coffee and bathrooms along the way and arrived at the site well before its 8 a.m. opening (noting that we change time zones and get one hour back en route). We were among the first visitors of the day and were able to take photos of El Castillo close to sunrise and with few photo-bombers. This is why one should arrive early! In total, we spent 4.5 hours visiting the many different ruins throughout this lost city (who knew?) and emerged with a deeper understanding of how the Mayan civilization operated. Alex was truly fantastic in this regard. He is the kind of person with whom you would enjoy a casual meal for the opportunity to ask questions and learn not only about his knowledge of history and the region but also his own life. Alex is a really good person on top of being an effective tour guide. Visiting Chichen Itza is a must-do for first-time visitors to the Yucatan Peninsula. I began the experience knowing very little and was made the wiser for it. Absolute Adventure Mexico, my wife and I are grateful for the experience you gave us. Please continue to maintain a high bar for hiring tour guides, as those like Alex make these experiences successful for your clients.
