Scenic, safe, private tour, so many memories! We did the Turtles + Cenote tour with Juan and a driver - - totally top notch. The day's forecast was very windy with rain on and off, but we trusted Juan with the plan and it was absolutely worth it. The turtles and sea life were abundant during our swim. We took his recommendation on which Cenote to explore and we had the entire area completely to ourselves to explore! Juan provided wetsuits for our Cenote portion which made it much more comfortable since the day was not as warm as planned. I am NOT a swimmer but felt completely at home with the equipment and structure of the tour. Communication from booking to pickup was flawless. Our driver (wish I remembered his name) was safe and courteous and stayed with the van so we could leave personal items without worry. They provided water and juices which was nice after all the swimming. This was our fifth trip to Mexico but first off-resort excursion and we would highly recommend the entire experience!

Great private tour for our family! We had an amazing experience touring the Tulum Mayan ruins, swimming in a cenote, and having lunch. Juan was a very personable tour guide, and Omar was a great driver. It was well worth it to do the private tour, get to the ruins early with nearly no one there, and get pictures without crowds in the background. Snorkeling in the cenote was a neat experience as well. Juan really helped make the whole experience fun with his stories and insights--by the end of the half day together, he seemed more like an old friend of our family than a guide.

Wonderful experience! We really enjoyed this private tour. We decided to book through Absolute Adventure rather than our cruise ship and they did not disappoint. We were in constant communication and they answered any questions we had. The private tour is also flexible. We had to change the number of people joining this tour and they were great in helping us make this change. Additionally, we had limited time for this tour since we were coming with a cruise ship. They were very timely and organized and we made it back with plenty of time to spare. Our guide, Arturo, was great - very knowledgable and friendly. We got to see two cenotes: Dos Ojos and Jaguar. They were both absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this tour company!

Perfect family adventure day! From pick up to drop off Joshua and Palo made our day ideal. Quiet ride to Tulum where we all appreciated the lack of people and learning so much about the Mayan civilization and history. Joshua?s knowledge and passion in Tulum was a highlight for all 4 of our kids 21, 19, 16, and 15. Cenotes, lunch in a local jungle retreat and Akumal all created memories we will share forever. Lastly, local recommendations from Josh for us to enjoy during our stay in PDC made it more authentic and enjoyable. Thank you again for the perfect day.

Perfect tour for our family This was a perfect day exploring Tulum early to avoid the crowds, with a refreshing swim in a beautiful cenote, followed by lunch at a charming restaurant, and then capped by snorkeling with sea turtles. Arturo as our guide was exceptional and took care of our extended family of 9. So much to experience, it was a perfect day and perfect excursion!

Wonderful experience - knowledgeable and tailored to our needs We had a really wonderful experience in Mexico this December with Absolute Adventure Mexico. Our first tour was to Chichen Itza and a cenote with a lunch in Valladolid. Our tour guide Arturo was extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins and answered lots and lots of questions that we had about all kinds of things that were not necessarily part of the tour "script". He made suggestions about the best things to do and even advise us on ways to improve some of the other experiences we were planning to have in Mexico. He stopped at a convenience store so that we could buy a waterproof case for our phone when we realized that we wanted one for our tours. He made suggestions about a special drink we could try during our lunch. We really enjoyed our time with him and the attentive and tailored experience we had. Our second tour was to swim with the sea turtles at Azumal and another cenote and lunch with our tour guide Juan. Again, we had a wonderful experience with lots of excellent conversation. We were able to ask lots of questions and get information about local flora and fauna. We never felt rushed and all in all it was a very pleasant few hours. Our driver on both days was Enrique and he did a great job. We felt very confident with his excellent driving and it was lovely that he stayed in the vehicle to guard all of our things so that we could have unencumbered time swimming and doing activities without worrying about our personal items. He was always very helpful with getting us drinks and getting our equipment for each activity. We thought it was very nice to be with a local family-owned Mexican business and we found the service to be top notch both emailing with the co-owner Claire and spending our days with the driver and tour guides. We were recommended this company by a friend and we will be recommending it to others anytime we have the opportunity. I would also note that the prices were quite comparable if not cheaper than some of the big companies that have you in a group with a whole bunch of other people - whereas this was a private tour where we got personalized service, never felt rushed and got to guide our own way to some extent. We would not hesitate to come back again and again anytime we come to this area of Mexico.

This was a perfect tour for our family of 10. It was both informational and recreational. Juan (J.J.) was a great guide and captured memorable family photos. Claire is terrific to help organize and deal with last minute changes. I highly recommend Absolute Adventures!

Amazing experience at Chichen Itz?. Highly recommend Absolute Adventures We had an amazing private tour with Alex as our guide and Omar as the driver. Alex provided so much historical information and details about everything in Chichen Itz? and the Mayan culture. He was knowledgeable and friendly and provided such as great experience. They recommended we get there early, and were so glad we did. Avoided the hordes of crowds that were there as we were leaving and it was peaceful and great experience. Highly recommend Absolute Adventure!!

Terrific tour of Tulum gems We had a wonderful day touring the Tulum ruins, swimming at the Cenote Taak bi Ha, lunch at tasty Pepem hotel then swimming with turtles in Akumal Bay. Joshua our guide was knowledgeable in the Mayan history & added depth to our experiences overall with a touch of authentic humor. Perfect half day cenote experience! Best excursion of our vacation. Alex our guide was very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and taught us all about the cenotes on the trip to the park. Tour was well organized. Going early allowed us to have the entire cave to ourselves, as the scuba divers we coming in as we were finishing up our snorkeling. Lunch was delicious, and would recommend the tacos or fajitas. Enrique our driver arrived on time and we were back at the resort early enough to enjoy the remainder day at the beach. I would highly advise this tour to anyone wanting a great half day experience. Getting Alex and Enrique as your guide/driver will not disappoint!

Thank you Absolute Adventures for an awesome experience! I chose this company for its excellent reviews, and I am thrilled to add another one for them. We chose two cenotes, one that included the zip lining and Cenote Sac Actun (aka pet cemetery). The zip-lining was very short but great for a 1st timer, like me. Sac Actun is incredible and cold, but beautiful. Thankfully the company had wetsuits for us. Most of all, hands down to Alex, our amazing guide. He is so knowledgeable and really takes ownership of his work. He was also very kind, professional, and accommodating. I highly recommend Absolute Adventures for your excursions in Mexico. Best of all, they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, unlike other companies, that require you to meet a specific location, which could be an hour away depending on your location. Lastly, our tour ended at a unique restaurant nestled in the jungle, with freshly made food, not a buffet. The staff was incredible. The food was delicious. We truly enjoyed our private tour! We haven't uploaded our sac actun photos from our GoPro yet, but you can google image the cenote, and see it's beauty. But it's worth seeing in person. Otherwise, here are our pics from the zip line and lunch. And thank you, Claire (owner), for all your wonderful communication. We'd definitely utilize your services again and highly recommend you to others.

Amazing Cenote and Snorkeling Experience We had an unforgettable experience with Arturo and Rodrigo?s team! Even though the weather wasn?t ideal for the reef, they expertly adjusted our plans and suggested visiting the turtle sanctuary area with our amazing Mayan guide, Luis. Our kids, aged 11 and 14, were thrilled to see sea turtles and even spotted a stingray! The highlight was when our son got to choose which cenote to explore. We ended up at an incredible cave cenote where we swam in an underground river?absolutely magical and a MUST-see. The tour team was professional, accommodating, and fun throughout the day. Whether you?re looking for adventure or just a unique family outing, you won?t be disappointed! Highly recommend. __

Terrific experience for our family of 11 We were a family of 6 adults and 5 children (ages 7-14) on a private tour with just our group. The tour van arrived 10 minutes early, which was great as it gave everyone time to get loaded so we were able to take off at 7:30 am. We first visited the Tulum ruins, which was a great time to be there as it wasn't very crowded and it didn't get too hot. There was quite a bit of walking to get into the ruins and back out again. Artudo, our guide was fantastic. The pace was very nice and he was informative in a manner that was easy for us all to understand. From there we visited 2 cenote's, the first was the Jaguar cenote that had a zip line across the cenote which you could ride 2 times. There were also 2 platforms you could jump off of into the cenote. One was close to 15 feet high and the other maybe 10 feet. The water was clear and beautiful. Artudo then took us on a swim through a carved out rock area to the other end of the cenote. He was always very encouraging and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the experience before proceeding to the next cenote. The second cenote was Nicte-Ha, which had a large cave area as well as beautiful underwater plants. Finally we ate at a very peaceful restaurant, which is part of a lodge that was peaceful and delicious. Our family had a fabulous time are Artudo was the BEST!!!!

My wife and I had an amazing private tour of Tulum ruins with Arturo, followed by a beautiful cenote, lunch and finally swimming with turtles. It was a truly magical day and it was so well-paced and organised. Arturo was a brilliant and knowledgable guide and I would recommend the company to everyone!

Our first tour was to the Tulum ruins. Josh was a fabulous guide?extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our party of 8 (including 4 teenagers) had so much fun that we booked another tour a few days later to swim with turtles, snorkel in a lagoon, and swim in a cenote. Josh was our guide. It was literally one of the best experiences of my life. Thanks so much Absolute Adventure Mexico!

The reviews don't lie! This is the best tour we've ever been on. Our guide, Alex, and driver, Omar, were fantastic. It was just our family (4 of us) and it was like having our own history professor along for the ride. Alex knows so much about Mayan history and culture, and spent a ton of time answering our questions and explaining the significance of what we were seeing. We were so glad we got to Chichen Itza early, as Alex knew exactly where to go for the best family photos before the crowds arrived. We couldn't believe how long the line was when we left!!! Alex took my husband to see some more ruins on the site while my daughters and I shopped, and then Omar had the van ready to go when we were done. I really don't think we would have fully appreciated the culture and the symbolism in what we were seeing if we hadn't had Alex there with us. Then we went to Cenote Samula - they said we could choose a different one, but this is the one they recommended because it's not crowded. They were right! There were only a couple of other people in the cenote when we got there, and we had all the time we wanted in it. I hate cold water, and this water wasn't bad. It was refreshing, but not uncomfortably cold. Then the restaurant we went to for lunch was fantastic. A totally nondescript, authentic restaurant with great service. Alex joined us and we got to talk even more about Mexico. By that time we were pretty exhausted, but we stopped in the town to check out the oldest church in Mexico, and then headed back to our hotel. I LOVED that our schedule was our own - we didn't have to wait for anyone else or rush through anything because the whole tour was just ours. There are some destinations that are fine DIY, but I highly recommend booking a guided, private tour for Chichen Itza. The driving, navigating, tolls, etc., are theirs to worry about, not yours. I want to especially thank Omar and Alex for their professionalism. They really made the tour even more amazing for all of us!

After using Absolute Adventures for an earlier trip we hired them again due to having such a great experience ! Chichen Itza this time and again picked up very early from our hotel and reached Chichen Itza for opening time to beat the queue and heat. Again Joshua was our guide and done another first class job taking us around the remarkable and beautiful guy that Chichen Itza is ! No rush, great knowledge and plenty facts about the place. We were taken round both the new and old parts and given full history of both sections, it is a much bigger site than we expected, but no rush to stroll around and take plenty photos. On getting collected right outside exit by our driver Omar we saw that the queue of coaches was about a mile long to get in !!!! Right move to get in early, beat the crowds. We then went to a beautiful Mexican restaurant in Valladolid on way back, where Joshua accompanied us for lunch and then gave us free time to wander about in town centre. Thereafter straight back to hotel. Again another first class experience from Absolute Adventures and guide Joshua. Would not hesitate to recommend this trip and company

My family took a private tour to see the Mayan ruins at Tulum. They raved about their guide Joshua, how knowledgeable he was, how helpful and friendly. They enjoyed the experience so much, we ended up booking another tour with Absolute Adventures the next day to swim with sea turtles, snorkel in a lagoon and swim in cenotes. We were lucky enough to get Joshua as our guide and since we were repeat customers, they even gave us a discount on the second tour. We had a blast. I would highly recommend Absolute Adventures if you want to do an excursion while in the Mayan Riviera area. And if you can, try to get Joshua as your guide.

Excellent trip and service! My family had previously went on a private tour of the Mayan ruins at Tulum with Absolute Adventures and had a great time. Their tour guide Joshua, who was amazing, recommended the private tour to snorkel Akumal and see the turtles and also a lagoon snorkel and cenotes. I didn't see this exact tour on the website, so I reached out to Absolute Adventures and they were able to quickly put it together for us and we even had Joshua again as our guide, which was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They took care of everything for us, so all we had to do was enjoy the experience. I would recommend using Absolute Adventures for any excursions while in the Mayan Riviera area and if you are lucky enough to get Joshua as your guide, it will be even more enjoyable!
